Blainville sur le Lac (west-southwest) is a neighbourhood of Blainville, in Greater Montréal. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 9,706 living in private households. 11.9% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 27.2% across Greater Montréal as a whole; the largest single group was Arab at 3.3%. 86.6% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 1.5% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 12.2% of the population, compared with 24.3% citywide. Median household income before tax was $88,000 in 2020, compared with $76,000 for Greater Montréal. 27.5% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 3.70 km², giving a population density of 2,626 people per square kilometre (Greater Montréal averages about 908).
