Vimont (southwest) is a neighbourhood of Laval, in Greater Montréal. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 7,814 living in private households. 41.9% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 27.2% across Greater Montréal as a whole; the largest single group was Arab at 19.3%. 57.7% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 0.5% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 37.5% of the population, compared with 24.3% citywide. Median household income before tax was $69,000 in 2020, compared with $76,000 for Greater Montréal. 51.6% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 9.64 km², giving a population density of 811 people per square kilometre (Greater Montréal averages about 908).
