Quartier Chinois (west-northwest) is a neighbourhood of Montréal, in Greater Montréal. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 1,963 living in private households. 61.1% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 27.2% across Greater Montréal as a whole; the largest single group was Chinese at 30.6%. 35.4% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 2.9% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 41.2% of the population, compared with 24.3% citywide. Median household income before tax was $45,600 in 2020, compared with $76,000 for Greater Montréal. 72.3% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 0.15 km², giving a population density of 13,482 people per square kilometre (Greater Montréal averages about 908).
