Quartier Chinois (east-southeast) is a neighbourhood of Montréal, in Greater Montréal. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 5,726 living in private households. 22.7% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 27.2% across Greater Montréal as a whole; the largest single group was Black at 6.7%. 76.5% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 0.8% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 28.8% of the population, compared with 24.3% citywide. Median household income before tax was $93,000 in 2020, compared with $76,000 for Greater Montréal. 46.2% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 0.74 km², giving a population density of 7,781 people per square kilometre (Greater Montréal averages about 908).
