Ouest (southwest) is a neighbourhood of Montréal, in Greater Montréal. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 3,827 living in private households. 47.4% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 27.2% across Greater Montréal as a whole; the largest single group was Black at 25.3%. 51.0% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 1.4% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 34.2% of the population, compared with 24.3% citywide. Median household income before tax was $57,600 in 2020, compared with $76,000 for Greater Montréal. 67.2% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 0.44 km², giving a population density of 8,610 people per square kilometre (Greater Montréal averages about 908).
