Lachenaie (northeast) is a neighbourhood of Terrebonne, in Greater Montréal. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 3,069 living in private households. 14.5% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 27.2% across Greater Montréal as a whole; the largest single group was Arab at 6.2%. 84.3% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 1.2% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 13.1% of the population, compared with 24.3% citywide. Median household income before tax was $70,000 in 2020, compared with $76,000 for Greater Montréal. 37.5% of households rented rather than owned.
