Chomedey (west-northwest 3) is a neighbourhood of Laval, in Greater Montréal. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 6,460 living in private households. 42.0% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 27.2% across Greater Montréal as a whole; the largest single group was Arab at 19.5%. 57.2% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 0.9% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 47.4% of the population, compared with 24.3% citywide. Median household income before tax was $88,000 in 2020, compared with $76,000 for Greater Montréal. 19.6% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 2.16 km², giving a population density of 2,994 people per square kilometre (Greater Montréal averages about 908).
