Chomedey (west-northwest 2) is a neighbourhood of Laval, in Greater Montréal. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 4,168 living in private households. 44.5% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 27.2% across Greater Montréal as a whole; the largest single group was Arab at 19.1%. 55.1% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 0.2% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 51.0% of the population, compared with 24.3% citywide. Median household income before tax was $68,500 in 2020, compared with $76,000 for Greater Montréal. 53.6% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 0.73 km², giving a population density of 5,719 people per square kilometre (Greater Montréal averages about 908).
