Chomedey (east-southeast 2) is a neighbourhood of Laval, in Greater Montréal. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 4,036 living in private households. 39.5% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 27.2% across Greater Montréal as a whole; the largest single group was Arab at 18.6%. 60.0% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 0.6% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 38.7% of the population, compared with 24.3% citywide. Median household income before tax was $56,800 in 2020, compared with $76,000 for Greater Montréal. 70.6% of households rented rather than owned.
