Châteauguay-Centre (east) is a neighbourhood of Châteauguay, in Greater Montréal. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 5,408 living in private households. 26.8% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 27.2% across Greater Montréal as a whole; the largest single group was Black at 12.7%. 71.1% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 2.1% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 23.0% of the population, compared with 24.3% citywide. Median household income before tax was $93,000 in 2020, compared with $76,000 for Greater Montréal. 9.0% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 4.68 km², giving a population density of 1,156 people per square kilometre (Greater Montréal averages about 908).
