Châteauguay-Centre (west-southwest) is a neighbourhood of Châteauguay, in Greater Montréal. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 2,345 living in private households. 31.4% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 27.2% across Greater Montréal as a whole; the largest single group was Black at 21.3%. 66.8% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 1.8% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 25.6% of the population, compared with 24.3% citywide. Median household income before tax was $100,000 in 2020, compared with $76,000 for Greater Montréal. 14.8% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 10.56 km², giving a population density of 222 people per square kilometre (Greater Montréal averages about 908).
