Ville-Marie (southwest) is a neighbourhood of Montréal, in Greater Montréal. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 5,477 living in private households. 69.2% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 27.2% across Greater Montréal as a whole; the largest single group was Chinese at 36.2%. 30.2% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 0.5% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 38.7% of the population, compared with 24.3% citywide. Median household income before tax was $30,600 in 2020, compared with $76,000 for Greater Montréal. 64.9% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 0.36 km², giving a population density of 15,072 people per square kilometre (Greater Montréal averages about 908).
