Saint-Gérard-Majella (north-northwest) is a neighbourhood of L'Assomption, in Greater Montréal. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 4,904 living in private households. 16.0% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 27.2% across Greater Montréal as a whole; the largest single group was Black at 12.8%. 82.7% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 1.3% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 10.5% of the population, compared with 24.3% citywide. Median household income before tax was $102,000 in 2020, compared with $76,000 for Greater Montréal. 11.8% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 24.66 km², giving a population density of 199 people per square kilometre (Greater Montréal averages about 908).
