Saint-François (west-northwest) is a neighbourhood of Laval, in Greater Montréal. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 4,811 living in private households. 15.7% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 27.2% across Greater Montréal as a whole; the largest single group was Black at 6.0%. 81.9% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 2.3% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 11.9% of the population, compared with 24.3% citywide. Median household income before tax was $94,000 in 2020, compared with $76,000 for Greater Montréal. 13.2% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 28.88 km², giving a population density of 167 people per square kilometre (Greater Montréal averages about 908).
