Saint-François (southwest) is a neighbourhood of Laval, in Greater Montréal. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 7,631 living in private households. 34.8% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 27.2% across Greater Montréal as a whole; the largest single group was Black at 16.3%. 64.1% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 1.1% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 28.6% of the population, compared with 24.3% citywide. Median household income before tax was $108,000 in 2020, compared with $76,000 for Greater Montréal. 11.6% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 10.59 km², giving a population density of 721 people per square kilometre (Greater Montréal averages about 908).
