Louis-Riel (east-southeast) is a neighbourhood of Montréal, in Greater Montréal. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 3,688 living in private households. 34.3% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 27.2% across Greater Montréal as a whole; the largest single group was Black at 8.6%. 65.4% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 0.3% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 30.4% of the population, compared with 24.3% citywide. Median household income before tax was $65,500 in 2020, compared with $76,000 for Greater Montréal. 61.2% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 0.45 km², giving a population density of 8,129 people per square kilometre (Greater Montréal averages about 908).
