Le Sanctuaire (northwest) is a neighbourhood of Terrebonne, in Greater Montréal. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 3,526 living in private households. 16.5% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 27.2% across Greater Montréal as a whole; the largest single group was Black at 13.4%. 81.5% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 2.0% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 10.7% of the population, compared with 24.3% citywide. Median household income before tax was $102,000 in 2020, compared with $76,000 for Greater Montréal. 9.4% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 20.61 km², giving a population density of 171 people per square kilometre (Greater Montréal averages about 908).
