L'Acadie (north-northeast) is a neighbourhood of Saint-Jean-Sur-Richelieu, in Greater Montréal. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 4,350 living in private households. 4.0% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 27.2% across Greater Montréal as a whole; the largest single group was Black at 0.9%. 93.3% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 2.6% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 3.7% of the population, compared with 24.3% citywide. Median household income before tax was $99,000 in 2020, compared with $76,000 for Greater Montréal. 15.1% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 1.47 km², giving a population density of 2,960 people per square kilometre (Greater Montréal averages about 908).
