Kirkland (east) is a neighbourhood of Kirkland, in Greater Montréal. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 7,022 living in private households. 30.2% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 27.2% across Greater Montréal as a whole; the largest single group was Chinese at 10.7%. 69.1% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 0.7% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 31.6% of the population, compared with 24.3% citywide. Median household income before tax was $113,000 in 2020, compared with $76,000 for Greater Montréal. 12.4% of households rented rather than owned.
