Hochelaga-Maisonneuve (west-southwest) is a neighbourhood of Montréal, in Greater Montréal. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 3,018 living in private households. 16.9% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 27.2% across Greater Montréal as a whole; the largest single group was Black at 7.9%. 79.1% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 3.9% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 14.6% of the population, compared with 24.3% citywide. Median household income before tax was $60,800 in 2020, compared with $76,000 for Greater Montréal. 76.5% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 0.22 km², giving a population density of 13,522 people per square kilometre (Greater Montréal averages about 908).
