Préfontaine (east-southeast) is a neighbourhood of Montréal, in Greater Montréal. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 4,027 living in private households. 22.4% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 27.2% across Greater Montréal as a whole; the largest single group was Black at 6.7%. 76.0% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 1.7% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 17.8% of the population, compared with 24.3% citywide.
