Carignan (southwest) is a neighbourhood of Carignan, in Greater Montréal. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 3,117 living in private households. 9.6% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 27.2% across Greater Montréal as a whole; the largest single group was West Asian at 4.5%. 89.5% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 1.0% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 9.1% of the population, compared with 24.3% citywide. Median household income before tax was $137,000 in 2020, compared with $76,000 for Greater Montréal. 3.8% of households rented rather than owned.
