Pointe-Claire (southwest) is a neighbourhood of Pointe-Claire, in Greater Montréal. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 8,886 living in private households. 31.6% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 27.2% across Greater Montréal as a whole; the largest single group was Chinese at 11.0%. 67.1% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 1.3% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 29.0% of the population, compared with 24.3% citywide. Median household income before tax was $83,000 in 2020, compared with $76,000 for Greater Montréal. 46.4% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 3.16 km², giving a population density of 2,814 people per square kilometre (Greater Montréal averages about 908).
