Le Plateau-Mont-Royal (west) is a neighbourhood of Montréal, in Greater Montréal. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 1,755 living in private households. 21.7% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 27.2% across Greater Montréal as a whole; the largest single group was Latin American at 7.1%. 76.9% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 1.4% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 21.4% of the population, compared with 24.3% citywide. Median household income before tax was $66,500 in 2020, compared with $76,000 for Greater Montréal. 73.0% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 0.09 km², giving a population density of 18,810 people per square kilometre (Greater Montréal averages about 908).
