Lafontaine (east-southeast) is a neighbourhood of Saint-Jérôme, in Greater Montréal. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 5,382 living in private households. 7.8% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 27.2% across Greater Montréal as a whole; the largest single group was Black at 3.1%. 89.0% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 3.2% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 7.0% of the population, compared with 24.3% citywide.
