Ile-des-Soeurs (northeast) is a neighbourhood of Montréal, in Greater Montréal. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 5,410 living in private households. 31.4% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 27.2% across Greater Montréal as a whole; the largest single group was Chinese at 11.5%. 67.9% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 0.8% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 37.6% of the population, compared with 24.3% citywide. Median household income before tax was $108,000 in 2020, compared with $76,000 for Greater Montréal. 23.8% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 1.01 km², giving a population density of 5,337 people per square kilometre (Greater Montréal averages about 908).
